Alexander C. Jordan Sr., MPA
BIOGRAPHY
Alexander C. Jordan Sr. serves as Director of Operations for the Florida College System, under the operation of the Florida Department of Education. As a first-generation college graduate, Jordan is passionate about the role education can play in transforming the lives of students and their families, and in turn, our communities.
Key professional achievements and experience have been contributing successfully to the Florida Council on the Social Status of Black Men & Boys research by serving in the role of moderator for: “The College Experience Unplugged: Real Stories, Real Insight.” Additionally, he has executed a number of panel discussions with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) as well as a guest at the 2024 Florida Conference of Black State Legislators HBCUs Presidents Roundtable.
During his 10 years working with the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE), Alexander oversaw projects and initiatives on leading a development team on advancing educational operations, equity and policy. Charged with the responsibility of helping to oversee a range of critical projects from conception to delivery.
Alexander currently continues to influence in areas of Higher Education in his role of Adjunct Professor, at one of his Alma Maters, Tallahassee State College in Tallahassee, Florida where his institutional profile includes teaching Political Science as well as being a 2023 TSC Hall of Fame inductee for his leadership excellence in community service.
Alexander C. Jordan Sr. holds degrees in areas of Criminal Justice, Public Policy and Public Administration. His Professional Boards and Affiliations include being a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., where he is a member of the Executive Board for his chapter, as well as Leadership Florida, Education Class 7 (LF) where he holds a Lifetime Membership. He was most recently inducted into 5,000 Role Models of Excellence Project.
Alexander C. Jordan Sr. is happily married to his wife, Natalia Jordan who shares his love for education, golf, travel, philanthropy, and their children, Adonai and Alexander Jr.
